Range Rules

Our facility has six ranges:
Handgun, Rifle/Pistol, Rifle (Carrol Green Range) Shotgun, Action Bay and Long-Range Rifle.

Handgun
The “Handgun Only” facility is for HANDGUNS ONLY!  No rifles or shotguns.  If it has a shoulder stock, don’t shoot it on that line!  That includes .22 rifles.

This facility consists of a covered concrete deck firing line with benches for ten firing points segregated by plywood and steel baffles for shooter safety.  It has benches behind the line for shooter gear and convenience.  There are berms on three sides. There are target boards provided at 15 and 7 yards.  You can provide your own target boards (as long as they are the same height off the ground as the existing target boards).  Shooting at targets on the ground or on the berm is not allowed due to increased danger of ricochets.

Rifle/Pistol
The 100 yard Rifle/Pistol range consists of a covered firing line with berms on three sides.  It has benches on the firing line and behind the firing line.  Rifles are allowed on that line and we provide several sight-in benches.  There are target boards provided at 4, 7, 15, 25, 50, 75, and 100 yards.  You can provide your own target boards (as long as they are the same height off the ground as the existing target boards).  Shooting at targets on the ground is not allowed due to increased danger of ricochets.

You may shoot shotgun SLUGS at 25 and 100 yards ONLY.  You may NOT shoot shot shells of any other type on this range!

Rifle
The rifle facility consists of a covered concrete deck firing line with 30 concrete benches. It has benches behind the line for shooter gear and convenience.  Target boards are provided at 100, 200 and 300 yards.  No shooting at less than 100 yards on this line.  The same rules about shooting at ground and berm targets apply to the rifle range also.

You may shoot shotgun SLUGS at 100, 200, and 300 yards ONLY.  You may NOT shoot shot shells of any other type on this range!

Shotgun
The shotgun facility consists of a trap machine and a mechanical thrower.  The mechanical thrower is available for use by all range members.  The trap machine is now operational and we stage regular shoots.  Please contact us via email for details.  You may NOT shoot shotgun SLUGS on this range!

Shotguns are allowed on the Shotgun range ONLY, except as noted about slugs above!  We have cardboard and a shotgun patterning frame for the convenience of the members.

If you have any questions that are not answered here, feel free to contact us.

The Action Bay facility is a 25-yard open bay shooting range for pistol caliber only.  The range is uncovered and protected on three sides with two impact berms to allow movement within the shooting area.

Since it is designed for practicing competitive style shooting along with defensive shoot and move drills.  The action bay is a first come first access range and can be reserved.  This is for members only and no guest access is permitted.  Use of the action bay does require specific qualifications offered throughout the year.

Long-Range Rifle Facility

The Long-Range Rifle Facility is on the western side of the Fusilier Complex behind a separate, locked, gate.  The firing line is an earthen berm raised 6ft and allows shooting from benches, prone and  other props.  The Fusilier Complex provides Steel targets at 400, 500, 600, 850, 925, and 1,000 yards as well as a 100yd zero confirmation target board.  F-Class target boards are provided at 600 and 1000 yds.

Use of the Long Range does require members meet qualifications before being issued a separate access key to use this range.  Qualification requirements are in the Range Rules.  This is a member only range and no guests are permitted.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

All Fusilier Complex members must be active NRA members. Your NRA membership number and expiration date must be provided on your Fusilier Complex application. If you are not a member of the NRA, you can include your membership as part of your TFC membership application, or you can sign up with the NRA by clicking on the banner at the bottom of our website. You can also visit www.nra.org, or you can pick up a registration form at most local gun shops or gun shows.

NEW MEMBERSHIP

New members are admitted on a first come, first served basis.  The Fusilier Complex executive committee reserves the right to close membership as needed to regulate the number of members in the club.  In the event that membership openings are not available at any given time, we recommend that you check back periodically for openings.  We will make every reasonable attempt to provide advanced notice of membership openings and registration dates.

New members are required to undergo a background check before being admitted to the Fusilier Complex.  This background check is conducted by Global Data Fusion at a cost of $30, payable directly to Global Data Fusion.  You will be provided with instructions for completing the background check when that time comes.

New members must pay a one-time $100 initiation fee to join the club, in addition to their regular annual dues.  See the Dues schedule below for a breakdown of costs.

NOTICE: You’re allowed to become a new member throughout the year. However, your dues are not pro-rated. ALL yearly renewals are in September.

As a new member of TFC, you will be required to attend a safety orientation session.  These classes are held on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00 AM at the shooting range.  If you are unable to attend a regularly scheduled safety orientation, you can also request a private class.  There may be a charge for private classes to be paid directly to the RSO.

MEMBERSHIP CARDS

New members will receive a membership card by mail after the club secretary confirms that all application requirements and payments have been completed.

GATE ACCESS CARDS

Membership cards serve as range gate access cards, and are issued to new new members who have completed all of the necessary steps for membership.  If you are a renewing member, do not dispose of your gate access card as it will continue to work as long as you are a member in good standing of TFC.  The cost to replace a lost or damaged card is $50.  Do not do anything to alter the physical properties of the card, like punch holes in it, etc.
