- Consent to a background check – Background checks are conducted by Global Data Fusion. The cost of this background check is $29.95, payable by credit card only. You must complete the background check application online. Background checks typically take anywhere from 2 to 5 business days and are out of our control. Background check fees are non-refundable.
- Complete the Fusilier Complex membership application – Once your background check has been approved, you will be notified by email to begin the application process on the Fusilier Complex website.
- Pay your annual membership dues – Dues are $150 for the period beginning October 1 of any given year through September 30 of the following year, plus a one-time $100 new member initiation fee. If you are over the age of 70 or will turn 70 before September 30, 2020, you will receive a $50 discount in your annual dues fee.
- Attend a mandatory safety orientation – regularly scheduled safety orientations are held the first Saturday of each month through December and are free of charge. In the event you are unable to attend a regularly scheduled safety orientation, you can request a private training session at a time that is mutually convenient to you and the club’s chief range safety officer. There is a fee for private safety orientations to compensate the RSO for his time and expenses. To request a private class, use the Contact Us form on the website, and select Safety Orientation in the To field.
Once a new member has completed all of these steps, they will be issued a membership card, and two guest passes. Membership cards are printed and mailed out by a third party company for the Fusilier Complex, and normally take 10 to 15 business days to arrive by mail. If you have a need to access the range before your membership card arrives, you can stop by Bayou Teche Guns and request a loaner access card. You must return the loaner card to Bayou Teche Guns, or you will be billed $50. The card will also be disabled, so you’ll have a $50 piece of useless plastic to keep on your desk or in your wallet.
