SUMMARY:Long Range Qualifying Day
DESCRIPTION:The new Long Range is officially open for member use. \nThis event is to allow members to qualify to use the Long Range. \nIf you plan to attend\, please be there promptly for a review of the long range rules followed by live shooting qualifications.  Once live qualification shooting begins\, anyone arriving late will not be permitted to qualify. \n\nQualifying Requirements\n\nMust confirm zero on 100yd target board. (3 shot group)\nMust impact a 2.5 MOA Steel target at 400 yds then 600 yds with 3 of 5 rounds minimum per target.\nAssessor may coach shooter on wind and misses\nIf shooter fails to qualify\, the assessor may recommend a shooting clinic before reattempting or if assessor identifies small correction and chooses to educate / coach\, the shooter may re-attempt qualifying.\nUpon successful qualification the shooter will receive their certification card and key.\n\n\nRequired Equipment / D.O.P.E\n\nDialable turrets on scope – or –\nScope with known holdover reticle (applies to first focal and second focal plane scopes) – or –\nAdjustable Iron sights (High Power Shooter)\nBallistic Data or Ballistic App (Must know how use app calculations).\nKnown muzzle velocity – (Published velocity on factory ammo is not acceptable)\nNO Red Dot optics\n\n\nRifle caliber cartridges only the Long Range.\n\nMaximum .30 caliber permitted.\n3200 fps maximum velocity permitted\nPistol caliber cartridges in any platform may not be used on the Long Range\n\n\n\nThe established shooting distances are: \n\n100yds Zero Confirmation Target Board\n400yds – Steel and Target Board\n500 yds – Steel\n600 yds – Steel and Target Board\n850 yds – Steel\n925 yds – Steel\n1000yds – Steel and Target Board

DESCRIPTION:The Action Bay does have a unique set of rules which have been added to the club’s range rules for your review.  As a requirement for members to use the bay\, you will need to attend an Action Bay Certification Class.\nUpon completion of the certification class you will receive your certification card which will be kept with your gate access card.\nDuring this certification class we will review the new Action Bay rules and how to apply them vs the general range rules and types of targets to use.\nBring ear / eye protection and your gun / holster etc. (if no holster\, bring a gun bag)\, and 20 rounds of ammo to walk through a mock stage in order to understand  shooting and moving.

DESCRIPTION:The Whirling .22s is a timed challenge\, designed for all everyday shooters without the need of special equipment or special training\, with rifles and pistols .22\, at targets that will whirl (spin) or move when hit.\nYou will perform accurate and fast shooting in a variety of conditions challenging gun enthusiasts.\nCompetition is open to any able body of sound mind 12 years old or older. Representative must be present.\nThese challenging Games also provide an ambient of camaraderie\, respect\, and self-control.\nTrophies and Certificates to 1st \, 2nd \, and 3rd places are awarded. \nTargets for the Games are: \nHanging Arms. Timed. Shoot each plate until hit\, then move on\, RIGHT TO LEFT.\nBrisk Lick. Timed. Compete against another. First finish wins. \nFeeble Shot. Timed. Target for pistol is big gong; rifle is small gong. Various stances. \nShooting Gallery. Timed. Moving plates left to right. \nDueling Post. Overpower competitor for most plates. Timed. \nUp And Down. Timed. Put 4 paddles up and then put them down. Repeat… \nBULLS. Soft nose lead .22.\nAt least 330 rounds will be needed. Better bring more just in case. Ammunition is not available for sale at the games.\nNO .22 Magnum\, NO Hypervelocity .22\, NO .17\, NO 5.7 \nRifles allowed\nSemi-auto\, lever\, pump. Safety is a must. Anybody acting disruptively will be asked to leave immediately. His/her behavior may be reported to the appropriate authority.\nR2. All events have a time limit and a limited number of shots. In all stages the shots will be no more than 20 for rifle and 20 for pistol.\nR3. All events will be run sequentially and there will be only one or two whirlers in each stage and a Whirling 22s Spotter (W22S)\, who will report the number of hits.\nR4. Any whirler using more that the allotted rounds will have to rerun the stage or accept a zero score. Score is hits until time or ammo runs out.\nR5. In case of a tie\, one of the stages will be used until a winner emerges. The break-the-tie gun to be used\, rifle or pistol\, will be decided by the Whirling 22s Director (W22D).\nR6. Gun must be supported by whirler’s body parts only.\nR7. The course of fire will be given at the event and not before.\nR8. The course of fire may be altered at any time by the Whirling .22s Director.\nR9. Any protest or doubts on results will be decided by the Whirling .22s Director (W22D) with the assistance of the Whirling .22s Spotters (W22S) and Whirling .22s Participants (W22P).\nR10. A competitor MUST be able to hear and understand all the range commands at all times to be\nable to act in this Games. If not\, then he/she will not be allowed to participate.\nR11. If a competitor at the firing line does not understand or does not hear a command he/she must:\na – Refrain from shooting and make the gun safe\, or\nb – If there is time\, ask for clarifications. \nSuggested equipment for the Games \n  \nThe following is a recommended list of things to bring for the Games. \nYou may add those items that you think you will need. \n  \n\nRifle .22 semiauto\, pump\, or lever; 2 magazines 10 rounds or more each.\nPistol .22 semiauto; 2 magazines 10 rounds or more each.\n330 rounds .22 Std velocity.\n\nNO .22 Hypervelocity\, NO .22 MAG\,  NO .17\, NO 5.7 \n\nEar and eye protection; cap or hat.\nPockets or handbag to carry ammo + magazines + …\nPen or pencil to score your shots.\nThere is no drinking water\, food\, ammo at the range.\nEnthusiastic\, positive\, sparkling sportsmanship.\n\n  \nIn case of queries email me at Whirling22@yahoo.com
